The story behind Randy's Pizza

Tu Your Door Pizza

Randy and Marcia Baker founded Randy's Pizza as "Tu Your Door Pizza" in 1959. It was located at 735 Michigan St., then two years later to 468 Massachusetts, across from the Murat Theatre. In 1964, it was relocated to 705 North Park, until I-70 and I-65 closed the roads. At the time, there were two shops open; Randy ran the shop downtown and Marcia was in charge of the north side. It was then decided to move the shop closer to home and to their other business, Randy's Cycle Shop, which was located at 7929 Southeastern Avenue. The pizza shop was moved to its current location in Wanamaker, and after the passing of Randy in 1989, their daughter Tina, took over the business. Marcia is now an insurance agent with the designation CISR/CIC.

Tina and her husband, Joe, are both graduates of Franklin Central, and have five children; four of which are also graduates of FC, and the youngest entering high school. Randy's Pizza is family owned and family operated with a family atmosphere, in service and in attitude. Randy's is one of the few businesses where the owner will not only take your order, but will take the time to visit, and you will always see a familiar face. Randy's is serving 3rd generation of families; from the original customers of the Mass Ave days and from school days, along with families from the new housing developments and from the Little League teams. At Randy's we offer pizzas that are made with care and piled high with all your favorite ingredients - made just how you like it. Randy's has served mayors, actors, racecar drivers and their fans; we have sent pizzas as far as California, but our favorites still remain - the faithful customers who have made us who we are today.
